Win2K3 Server - remote desktop via terminal services
I was trying to login to our server the other day via remote desktop on a client PC.
I was told that all connections were full and it couldn't log me on.
How many connections does remote desktop support ?

ok
If I didn't want others using the remote desktop facility is there any other way a client PC can connect to an manipulate the server ? I'd like to keep remote desktop for my sole use.
The client PC is at the other end of a VPN broadband connection.

You can restrict Remote Desktop access to selected users only. You could restrict access to the actual MSTSC exe file using permissions.
Don't think you can connect to W2K console - certainly I can't get it to work with our only W2K NAS server.

Win2k3 can have 3 connections (one of which is the console) and Win2k server can have 2. The console connection is a by product of the work that was done in XP to allow connecting to the interactive account and as such isn't available in Win2k.
There is a group policy setting that can restrict who can log in via terminal services.
