Another Aldi offering - is it any good?
My 5 year old Amd 850mhz desktop is on its last legs
and needs to be replaced. Aldi Netherlands are offering the following kit for around 700 quid incl VAT -

o 800 Mhz FSB Intel 915p chipset
o Nvidia GeFORCE 6610 XL, Graphics: 128 MB DDR3 Memory 800 MHz GPU400 MHz
o Pioneer 16x Dual Layer Multi-Standaard DVD-/CD-Burner
o Stereo-TV, built in Tunercard with Stereo-TV & Radio Tuner
o 250 GB western digital hard disk 7200rpm
o WLAN 54 Mbit/s
o integrated 9 in 1 USB 2.0 card reader
o 512 MB ram DDR 400 mhz 64bit dual channel memory
o 6x USB 2.0
o 2x FireWire
o 8 channel Intel® High Definition Audio
o Netwerkcontroller on motherboard
o 56k V.9x PCI Data Fax Modem
o Wireless keyboard and mouse
o Bluetooth
No monitor included
Neither local suppliers nor Dell come anywhere close for the price.
Any comments from the experts out there?
Tks in advance

You'll get the usual "you could build it cheaper yourself" replies, but I really rate the Medion PC's that Aldi sell. Always good branded components etc.
Thanks Caveman.
I'll go and visit them on Saturday and see if they've got any. I'll report back here with impressions if I end up buying it or indeed if I go and build one cheaper myself :P
