It's not freeware either.

Very professional looking site... downside you have to be a member to play... downersider you have to have special stuff installed to play the tasters
Are you primarily targeting Apple users? Surely a few sample sounds available to anybody will get their attention. I was turned off immediately because it didnt support my pc media player.
Just my thoughts.

There are around 70 free loops but folks have to register first - for free.
We used to give them away without registration but decided that anyone who wouldn't register for free would never pay to join.
The site is designed to work on Mac & PC (the tips still don't work correctly with Mozilla).
I may try some low quality .mp3 previews since you mention the issue with media player(I refuse to use it cos it trys to take control).
I think we also need to add a link to Realplayer on all the preview pages too.
Thanks for the feedback though - it all helps

I have an ra player (media player classic).. I refuse to install RealAudio. Perhaps that is the issue I stumble upon on your site.
Registering is not particularly an issue.. but to some it is.

I can't say I'm looking forward to redoing the previews as lofi .mp3 LOL
How do you find the general useability of the site?
Thanks for the free testing BTW

You should get a confirmation email, then be able to login for the free loops.
Did you do anything before RP tried to install?
We have no direct link to external installers so I'm a little confused as to how it happened.
Thanks again for the feedback

I just joined with my hotmail account & received the email - took a while though.
I use Mozilla too - did you use a freebie email addy? Sometimes they get upset at emails direct from mail servers.
You'll get to hear the wares as soon as you login

I clicked the preview link - top and bottom of the main page. Straight to the samples which popped up a new window and played. Very slick but I think I've found an obvious back door, no registration required.

Just tried the same thing as Jack, but have a different result. I click the wav preview button, and it pops up a window with the media player bar in it. It starts playing (the progress bar is moving), says the transfer speed is 1.1kbs etc, but I get no sound whatsoever. This is with Firefox 1.0.
Interestingly, if I do the same thing with Internet Explorer, the transfer rate is listed as 16kbs, and I do get sound. Lookslike there may be a browser detection / compibility problem in there somewhere...
I know it's nothing wrong with my setup as I can download / play audio etc from other places perfectly ok using Firefox...

Get yourself a better browser. I've started using Internet Explorer from Microsoft, it's great, free and compatible with more sites than Firefix

Actually, I've just started using Avant browser (http://www.avantbrowser.com/). It's a front end for internet explorer which gives you tabbed browsing etc. Makes ie a bit less painful to use...
I think I'm going to switch back to ie now. There are just tooo many bugs in firefox at the moment to make it usable from day to day (although I have tried). Numerous rendering problems, click on links and getting "The document contains no data" message boxes, but it works when I try it again or refresh etc...

There are free wav loops from each update but to get them you need to register - did you manage to get to them without registering?
I'm not 100% convinced the site is foolproof yet, but it's getting there.
Thanks to all for the feedback
