Just reading about the cell cpu for the next Playstation core. Ok, games machine you think. No - one single cell (you can have several on one chip) run at 4.6 GHz and match a cray supercomputer. These things can do a Petaflop !!!!!

rather fitting that Sony, Toshiba & IBM are collectively calling themselves STI...
Wonder what Microsoft have got in store to rival it? Read somewhere that nVidia have signed a deal to do the graphics for PS3 - so does mean MS will be switching to ATI?
