I know this is not correct but can you get a boot disc that allows you to play copied games, both my sons have a box and argue over the games, so just wondering it is better than opening it up

Not as far as I have seen for the X-Box. There is something similiar to that for the Playstation.

As Steve has mentioned I have not seen one on sale for the Xbox, you will need to chip the xbox to play 'backups'.....
