Default High ping

I am on plusnet and usually have a low ping of about 35 when playing cs:source however today when playing on my usual server my ping was over 300.

Why would this be? I have rebooted countless times.

A problem out on the net somewhere beyond your connection perhaps?

See how it looks tomorrow.

John.

I used to play cs alot. It is more than likely that your internet service provider was having problems or were very heavily loaded with connections. Should not occur too often.

Actually thought about something else aswell, it could be that the server that you were playng on is also used as a server for download files such as maps etc for the game and being used alot, hope its helped

Do a Tracert, this will help you to establish at which point on the network the delay is happening, inside your ISP domain or outside there domain, so more difficult to resolve.

I can't remember the free software I used to use to assist with finding the latency points, but I'm sure someone will give you a few pointers
