This is Weird - can you help?
I own a Philips HDD070 MP3 player, and have done since June 2004 - superb little device.
Anyway, its so good my daughter wanted one for Xmas - I had no hesitation and bought her one.
Her and I have seperate accounts on WindowsXP - both with Admin priviledges.
I decide to put a shortcut on her account to the Philips MP3 Player program you must use to transfer music from the PC to the Player.
It couldn't 'see' the .exe path that I needed? Why?
So, I loaded the program on her account ..... it failed, assume because there was a copy on the PC allready?
I uninstalled it off the PC completely and reinstalled ...... still, only one user can access it?
Bloody stupid and their website doesn't offer any help.
Now, of course, she can log on as me and do what needs to be done - but its not ideal and shouldn't be like that?
Any help/advice?
Thanks in anticipation
Pete

From memory (cos I'm a Mac user now) right click on the start button, click explore all users, navigate to your profile, find the shortcut you need and drag it to the "all users" profile desktop folder.
This basically means that all users who logon to your pc will have this icon on their desktop.
If that don't work it must be something to do with admin rights or you have got system files hidden or something along those lines.

Just found this on the Philips website:-
"First, make sure that you are installing and uninstalling DMM using the same login account. If you have installed DMM with one login account you cannot run the application or uninstall it from a different account."
WHY??
Can't work out why they would do that??
