xp sp2 java problems

Angry xp sp2 java problems

just installed this sp now all my java buttons have stopped working
tried security settings but no joy
can any one help

I think MS had to pull their JRE from SP1a onwards so you will no longer have it.

Download the latest JRE from Sun and you should be OK.

Depends on what you mean by broken. If you are not seeing the buttons at all then as the other have said, you need to get hold of the latest sun JRE. Otherwise, if the buttons are there but not doing anything, there's not a lot you can do. It seems that Micro$oft have broken the Java->Javascript bridge in SP2, so you can no longer call javascript functions from inside an applet in Internet Explorer
