Default quick launch toolbar default size

ok I ve been having loads of problems with this

right I want to build a xp machine where the quick launch bar is a std size (larger than default) for all users

yes I can copy the profile to all users and that works fine BUT when I use sysprep ( risprep ) it strips of this larger sized quick launch bar and puts it back to std

now why you might ask

because I have locked the task bar with AD group policy and our users are not happy with the extra button to find there commonly used programs

normally I would tell them where to go but I want to introduce xp as a standard and if they aren't happy they will stick with win 2000

cheers guys

Have you used regmon before. Its the same as filmon but monitors the registry (reads, writes, amends, deletes, etc.) whilst you are doing a particalar task.

I've just had a quick play with it whilst changing the quick Launch tray but could not find excatly where the key is, however it did give me a few suggestions.

Regmon and filemon can be downloaded from SYS Internals

I've used both in the past with great sucess. It pin pointed a problem we had with Oracle and Novell printing.

Let us know how you get on.
