Default Finding memeory speeds

Need to put more memory in my PC, but I can't remember what speed the memory is. I think you can put in faster memory but the PC will default down to it's own speed?

Are there any programs that test memeory speed, otherwise I'll have to take the lid off.

Look under "SPD", which tells you the type of RAM you have - "Memory" just tells you how fast it actually is, which may be less.

I find Sandra less reliable when it comes to identifying RAM. AIDA was good, but it's not supported any more.
