Have seen a item on ebay advertised as a chipped ntl box which allows almost all satellite etc channels to be viewed foc, can someone just explain what this box is ?? is it for cable equipped areas only ??

future proof ?? how long has this loophole been happening and are they on to it ie is it likely that the satellite companies etc will change there scrambling methods or whatever they use to make these sort off chipped boxes off no use ??

have since writting the above had another look on ebay and see there are also filters that allow the same thing as above ie allow all channels to be viewed foc on your digital box, at under a tenner, just what is the score with these things as opposed to a " chipped " digi box ??

also see that it is indeed for cable eqipped areas only, being in an area yet to be updated to this is there a similar satellite telly type gadget being sold anywhere that will perform similar to the above gadgets ??

dont buy from ebay mate, ntl track sales on it. It aint future proof unless u own all the gear to do it.

The filter is basically just an adapter so u can plug your cable feed straight into your tv to use it as an aerial. A con in other words.
