Question DVD drives - progressive scan?

Anybody know how/if progressive scan can be enabled on a PC DVD drive (for use in a multimedia PC)?

Your DVD-ROM drive just chucks out data, it's your software DVD player which will sort out the deinterlacing. Most do IIRC, usually just a checkbox in the settings. Have you had a browse over at http://www.avforums.com? They have a whole section dedicated to HTPC's
