Just kiddin - LOL!

What a truly stunning game. I had to stop playing last night after I realised I couldnt focus on anything past the monitor after several hours Cannot believe well they have incorporated the "you're in a movie" feel into the game. Makes Doom3's levels and gameplay look truly dated.

Sucks you right in and keeps you there. Shame about the Steam account setup problems to start with though.

Problem is Halo2 will take a backseat until HL2 is complete V.Good but not in the same league IMHO

Does anyone know the significance of the 'Noughts and Crosses' game which can be found just as after you climb over the mesh fence shortly after leaving the main terminal at the beginning of the game?

You can spin them round....but there is one missing....later on I found the missing piece and walked all the way back with it but nothing happend when i tried to 'attach it'. Probably nothing but thought it might have been a secret unlock or something....

it cant be that good ive got hundreds of games on my pc that were in the same league as this 6 months ago its just what ever is in at time ive still got doom3 only played thru a couple of levels, far cry dont even think i completed the 1st level. unreal 2004 never played it much etc etc , games are coming out of people ears they are all the same bar a couple of graphic improvements etc give me back defender

two things I don't like about it:
- the frequent loads that result in the game pausing.
- STEAM requirements

Other that than - its awesome!

I cant't get it to load, it stops when it gets to installing the desktop links and says it can't find the logos. I am hoping its a corrupted disk and not some problem with my PC

This happened with me. But because I deselected Counter Strike: Source.

I just gave it one more go, accidently left that as selected and then it worked.

Cheers for that, I had deselected the counter strike bit. I was about to take it back and swap it for another disc but I'll give it another go tonight.

It's not gonna look much better than the original HL on that spec mate. It won't really do the game justice IMHO. Read this article
