Default Wireless for net surfing only

Want to get my winXP laptop wireless for as cheap as possable. It's only gona be used for net surfing on a 768 Blueyonder (soon to be 1024) conection. I live in a modern house i.e no big thick brick interior walls.

So if its only going to be surfing the net do you think 802.11b would be suficent??

I've been doing a bit of hunting on E-Buyer and come up with these two for £58.52 including P&P.

USB adaptor

Router

p.s I'm going for a USB adaptor because my crappy laptop doesnt have a PCMCIA slot

I've been using 802.11b for surfing for almost a year, and works OK for me
