Help--Trojan Virus
Need some help on this one guys. Left my pc for a few hours online and when i came back it was infected with a virus. Not sure how it got past my Norton firewall though.
Now apprently its a Trojan horse backdoor Virus of the Prorat/2.AG variety.
Its a nasty piece of work and it stops you from running your firewall and Antivirus, and any updates etc
I really need help from all you pc gurus out there on how to wipe this particular one out my system without destroying my computer before it does.
Cheers gents
Jono
Ps, i cant believe people actually design these things, malicious little sh*ts!!

I had the trojan horse dropper last week, couldnt get rid, deleted it using the virus checker but everytime I booted up it was still there, I had to turn the system restore off then delete it. I searched for the virus that I had on google and it came up with loads of forums asking how do u delete it and found plenty of help there

Id suggest going to McAffee/NAI's site and downloading 'Stinger'. As it is an executable virus app rather than a TSR one its much harder for the virus/trojan to preventing it from running.

If this cant do it; and its never let me down yet; you will have to look for a specific removal tool from either Symantec or Network Associates.

And maybe replace your Norton firewall if it let the trojan go undetected - I use Zone Alarm and find it to be pretty good - keeps telling me when my AV signatures need updating which is mucho useful.
