We have 2 laptops and a desktop all fitted with wireless networking cards - to link all these together I assume it's a wireless router I'm after? Any good prices anyone's aware of and how do I make sure it's compatible with the kit I already have (all bought within last 12 months, IBM, Dell and Fujitsu)
Only have ISDN at the moment but expecting broadband within the next 6 months.

not sure how isdn works but think you may need a wireless access point and need to leave the one with the isdn card on for the others to work. is the idsn modem seperate?

 

ISDN Modem is built into the BT box on the wall - at the moment it's RJ 45'd to the dell desktop and the other machines use this desktop as a hub via an RJ45 router. Quite happy to leave this as is, it's really the laptops we'd like to connect via a wireless router.

 

Go grab urself a linksy wireless router, mine had 4x lan ports + wireless cost about 50quid. Easy set up Never had a problem with it

It doesn't specifically say, but it looks like the cheaper one is a b standard i.e. 11mbps.

 

Yep that is the differnce... if u only got 11mps cards then maybe go with the cheaper one. But if it was me for the sake of a few quid grab the 54mp one.. it will work with ur 11mp cards and will allow u to upgrade later.
