Default Have you heard of Axis Telecom?

it's just that they cold called a friend of mine and she signed up. Seems that there is a £75 cancellation fee!!!
Signed up for CPS and broadband and she is outside the 7 day cooling off period.

That is shocking! Anyway a CPS request typically takes 14 days to be processed, BT normally contact the person via phone or mail as a customer retention exercise. If she calls BT and tells them to cancel the CPS request and has only verbally agreed to sign up I'm not sure there is alot Axis could do, also worth reporting them to OFCOM.

T&C's say that you are liable for the £75 anyway!
BB now continually drops connection and difficult to reconnect sometimes requiring multiple attemts.

It's a lot, but did they not read the T&Cs before they signed up?

Cold called on the telephone Iain, supported with a glossy welcome pack later. 12 month term and the £75 charge buried away in the tiny print. Are OFCOM worth contacting as it is in the T&C's?

Ooo, nasty.

It can't hurt to contact OFCOM, but I don't hold out too much hope to be honest (especially if it is written down in the small print )

Hmmm yes went and looked at their site, quite shocking the T's and C's really but surely the conversation must have either quoted the T&C's or the question was asked that your friend understood the T&C's before continuing otherwise there could be some doubt as to the validity of the contract, Im no legal expert but its worth contacting OFCOM for sure.
