Default Tomtom Navigator 3/"Safety" camera warnings

Ive got TT3 and have downloaded the camera database as recommended in this thread. To have an audible warning before I reach a "point of interest" it seems like I need some additional software.

Any suggestions and ideas will be welcome.

TIA

Doug

You need a program called Checkpoint.

You'll find a link somewhere on this site

Thanks jowl. I've had a look and think I've found what I need. I'll give it a go and will be back asking questions if I'm still confused.

No problem. I've used Check point 2.x and 3.2 and both installations went fine. That site that I gave the the link for is aslo very helpful.

so now when ever I drive past a pub I get homer Simpson saying "Beer, Beer"

Checkpoint 3.2 installed without any problems and the .ov2 file seems to be recognised. WAV files of Homer saying, "Careful now" at 30 seconds and a cash register at 10 seconds from Gatsos also set up. I'l give it a try tomorrow on a journey where I know the locations of cameras to see how accurate it is (or what settings I might want to change).

Thanks for the advice.

While on the subject of running Sat Nav on PDA, is there any package that can also integrate the Traffic Master type information onto a PDA. That's the traffic problem alerting system ???

Just hoping to kill 3 birds with one stone !!

Dave,
Tomtom also offer "Traffic" that does exactly as traffic master does and more, so I've got rid of my TM brick.
It will link in with TT3 so that you can reroute your journey to avoid the hassle.
It costs 49 euro per year from their website.
