Access 2003 macro weirdness
Hi,
We have a handful of Dell Dimension PCs, most bought at the same time, all running XP Pro all with the same version of msaccess.exe 11.0.5614.0 all with the same cr/mod dates.
On some machines the keyboard shortcut CTRL+; to insert current date works, others it throws up an error saying "The expression you entered has a function name that Microsoft Office Access can't find"
Anyone got any thoughts?
Rich

Not sure about this one but you might want to try the following:
Open up a module from the database window, select "tools" from the menu bar at the top. From the tools menu select "References". Compare the references that are selected with the references from a machine/mdb that isnt working. If there are any differences then just 'synch' them up.
If there aren't any differences then I'm out of suggestions!
Good luck.
(You might also want to check that ';' actually appears when you press that key on the machines where its not working. If it doesn't then you need to reconfigure the keyboard settings.)

Agree - check the references. there will be one that it cant find. Find the correct value and away you go.. try Access object library.. that sometimes is different between machines

I was going to say that some of the machines might be set up with US date format but the error message doesn't sound right.
Have you tried it in Excel or Notepad?
