Digital Camera connection no longer working....

Digital Camera connection no longer working....
I plugged my camera into the PC this morning so I could dowload some pictures. Normally I just switch the camera on, and the software auto-launches. Its know longer doing this and even when I launch manually the sofware is not dectecting the camera.
I've checked the USB port and all seems to be connected ok.
Any ideas?

have a look for it at windows explorer. does it see it as a removable drive? have a look at device manager and check all is running OK.
else, you might want to get a USB card reader. they are only about £10 and support just about ALL card media!
