Putting breaks in audio tracks
I have a one continuous audio file with different songs that i want to put breaks in so i can skip tracks. What (free) software do i need. Can nero 6 do this.

Nero can do it, assuming your mean that you are burning it to CD and want to be able to jump from one track to another.
If the music is "continuous" such that you wouldn't want 2 seconds of silence between tracks (say a live concert with applause between the actual music) then you can set Nero to leave no silence between tracks. So, you can still skip between tracks on the CD but if you just let it play there are no silences between items.

As Hedgehog says - Nero 6 can do it. That is, the Nero Wave Editor. I use it for splitting up tracks from vinyl when putting them onto CD. I don't use the *automatic* mode (which I believe is what Hedge is saying - maybe wrong) - I do it all manually. Get better and more consistant results.

Adobe audition is a prog for manipulating audio files i found quite useful. You can cut sections out and do pretty much anything with it.
