Default VCD x2 to DVD

Is it possible to make 2 vcd disks into one dvd and 'join' the breaks in the film together?
I don't expect the join to be transparent but it's gotta be better than havin 2 vcds plus it should play in my dvd player which I don't think supports vcd
What's everyones tool of choice for doing stuff like this?

Cheers

Nick

Movie Factory 3 from www.ulead.com is very simple to use and can produce good results.
The only drawback with it is you can end up with a really big file and would need to compress it to fit on a DVD.

'TempENC DVD Author' is a faster was to splice vcds and it doesn't increase the file size of the resultant DVD.
