Blocking Chat Programs
The time has come where now I must restrict my eldest's access to MSN messenger, since its interfering with her homework !!
I have both machines connected to the net via a D-link DI-624 router and am pretty sure I need to set up some sort of rule to block it at certain times. I've looked through the manual & trawled tech support but am still unsure.
Can anyone with this router or similar help out ?

I did it by adding the DNS names to the local machines host's file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
I can't remember what they are off the top of my head.
127.0.0.1 msn.microsoft.com
there were 4 or so names u need to find - this'll stop her machine being able to "find" the msn servers while the rest of you can ;-)
