Default Need help with IE

For some reason IE will not accept any typed in websites or IP addresses? I can only visit websites that are in my favourites folder.

The message I get is = can not www.whatever.co.uk make sure the path or internet address is correct.

Very strange!

Help appreciated

Thanks
Sam

change to another browser mate would be the simple answer. do you have all the updates for IE, if not get to the M$ site and download. see if that make any difference. New version of Firefox is available, very stable and miles better than the microshaft $hite.

cheers

I'd be a bit worried about this, and wouldn't try and fix it just by changing browser, (although firefox is good). It sounds (although I may be wrong) as though you might have some nasty spyware, or even a virus on the machine, so I'd be looking very hard to make sure there's nothing nasty lurking around...
