want to connect laptop to tv but..
been told i straight s video lead from a laptop to scart doesnt carry sound?? WTF???
aparantly i might be able to get a lead that plugs into my s video socket and the headphone jack on me lappy, then they go into one lead that plugs into scart on tv
been looking on net but i cant find one

local 'decent' hifi/av shop will have one.

Maplins is a better (and cheaper) bet than Pea Sea World.
I can confirm that S-Video to Scart will NOT give you sound! I tried that particular route when attempting to connect a VCR to DVR. IIRC also could only get mono picture via S-Video.
