Question Colouring code displayed in html

Hi folks,

The app I'm writing (servlet based, running in tomcat) has the ability to load source code from the server and display it in the web browser (for example, it takes a cobol / java / jcl src file, converts it to html, then pumps it out to the browser).

To get this looking nice, I've written some basic colorization routines (configured via xml documents containing basic language rules etc) which do stuff like putting comments into light grey itallics, highlightling keywords in bold etc, but although it's quick, it's a bit clunky and I haven't a lot of time to spend on improving it.

I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any open source java colorization code / projects as if there is already something out there which will do the job, I might as well use it

Thanks,
Iain
