apologies for being forced to cross post this but I had no idea what else to do.

going on holiday tomorrow and have spent today adding the girlfriends itunes collection onto mine so we can take all of our music away together. ( I never played mine on an ipod as I don't have one, I just used itunes for ripping my cd collection)

The thing is, for some reason 800 of my tracks are "incompatible" with the ipod.

We have checked the status of the songs and can see no reason why they might be incompatible.

Has anyone experienced this before, if so, do you have a solution for the problem?

As mentioned on the other thread, are you importing WMA files created with Windows Media PLayer ? If so you have to convert them to MP3 or AAC first.

You might also, if you have not been told to do so (not seen the other thead yet), have a look here. Tells you what type of files are compatible with the iPod.
