The Counter Strike Source Beta has just started to preload. Will be playable from 18th August

LOL you think Valve will give away the biggest online game ever for free? They know how much of a cash cow the whole thing is. Just look how long they've milked the HL game (and subsequent addons).

From what I remember you will get HL2 with Counter Strike and Team Fortress ported to the Source engine in a single pack. Counter Strike 2 and Team Fortress 2 are going to be seperate items.
