How awesome 
Scary i think, very gruesome.
whats the most effective way of killing those big ish creatures that throw looks like fireballs at you?
Im not too far in the game, being to the comms building now back at the security point

Been playing it a while now, as and when I get the time. I wish the enemies had the AI of far cry though. I've tried the old doom trick of getting them to fight each other, but they don't seem to want to play ball.
The shot gun close range is best for imps. Run towards them as they are getting ready to lob a fireball at you, and then back off as they get ready to claw you. Fire the shotgun at the head. Repeat as needed.
So far I reckon
Cacodemons, chain gun is best.
Spider things, machine gun.
Flying heads, machine or chain gun
Cherubs= shot or machine gun.
Annoying machine gun soldiers, Machine or plasma gun.
Pinkey's= as for Imps.
Revenants, use plasma gun or imp tactics.
Zombies, there can be only one, Chainsaw
I can't remember the rest of the monsters, but if in doubt use imp tactics.

I've got back to missiom command and the blokes told me to rendevouz with another team and get a message out, just going through the medical labs and picked up that submachine gun (which looks like the P90).

i bought monday night and i think im nearly done.
In the Comms tower. About the 10th auto save. I dont think theres much more to go........

this game has to be impossible to complete on veteran level without cheating. i.e "god" and "give all". end level in hell is an utter bollix. try surviving for 10 seconds.

just arrived at the delta lads. 2 bosses killed so far. That spider bitch and them those 3 looked like elephants? Stil a bit jumpy. Those baby things are just sick as!! the spiders are freaky too

it's the fookin dodgy revenants that get me. tried side stepping and firing, bastids just dodge my rockets. so much for try a taste of your own medicine 
won't let it beat me but i suspect i will have to cheat to finish. physics are great. bodies hanging from ceiling you can take pot shots at. they swing, and if they cast a shadow on the wall the shadow moves as well......nice.
any i will get me coat.......need it for the gib fest that is about to happen

wait to you get to the end boss in hell itself. just the same as doom2, but he takes alot (and i mean alot) of ammo to kill. maybe i am doing it wrong, but he is one tough ****. BFG seems to have no effect on him, just kills his little flying buddies that seem to search you out, giving away your position of course.......ba$tids

You can only damage him once the 'seekers' have all been killed and he is producing more. Allways have your rocket launcher loaded to the full 5 rounds, once you killed last seeker, turn and fire all 5 rockets. Keep doing that untill he dies, takes about 10 mins.

have now finished it! Bigsinky, you are not talkin about the VERY final boss, VERY final boss (i.e. the one with horns 'n all after the excavation sites, you can only kill him using the soul cube - VERY easy to defeat when you know how!!!!)
