Generals is v. good - highly recommended. Zero Hour is the expansion pack.
The expansion pack for RA2 is Yuri's Revenge.

When i play RA2 on LAN at home, once each player has a few hundred or so units of anything, performance grinds to a halt.....
Any suggestions?
Is there a way of making a server do all the work and the clients connect to the server game, same way as Quake - online?

All the C&C games are peer to peer.
The game will run at the speed of the slowest machine (assuming bandwith isn't an issue).
Zero-Hour is an excellent MOD for Generals - it add LOADS more to the game well worth the purchase.
I'm well up for a game during the evenings.
Anyone else?

ZH is good. Rather than building up millions of tanks (as in RA2), it's all about micromanagement & controlling resources.
The netcode can be flakey at times, and it does require quite a beast to run it on (with all the goodies enabled).
I'll take ya all on :-)
MSN me for a game jason@lanse.co.uk
I have a teamspeak server up as well:
Download teamspeak: http://www.teamspeak.org
Server: server.lanse.co.uk password: wibble
Best to MSN me first as the server's got a clan on it.
