nah I want to do it on mass, I have a ghost of the hard-disk anyway.
Basically, we have two images that have been created as being the main "c:". However, we now need to put these two images, and make them dual boot on one machine.
We could set it up from scratch, but I want to try this way first. Have both of them on each partition, (xp, and win2k). both boot up fine, with editing the boot.ini. Win2k which is now on D:, works until you logon, then after u logged in, comes up with errors, as it is obviosuly looking in the wrong dir. I want to just mass change C: to D:, which should solve it. If it doesnt, then I can just ghost it back to that state, and try something else..
unless someone knows of a boot loader, that will make whatever partition I select to boot from C:, and not show the other.
then it would work fine!

I've done this before on a Citrix Server
But it went from c and D to X and Y. I could not find an utility to do it so a few of us took turns one by one changing the values

let me know if you find anything though, (registry.. not boot magic)

all done, used a program called reglite (http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe)
worked well, just remember though afterwards, to go to system properties, and select pagefile on the d: or whatever drive you use, otherwise when you reboot and try and log on, win2k comes up with cannot find pagefile.sys, to create to go system prop.. etc.. however it wont go past that point, so I then did a repair, and all working
