Your best bet is one of the Shuttle XPCs. With the fan set on low they are very quiet, and the case is small and looks good in a living room. Several other companies make similar products, like Abit and MSI, but Shuttle are original and best. Not sure where to get them on-line now OcUK seemed to have stopped selling them - they do some others though.

This is the maxpower world of PC's and home builds, but they do silent stuff, they'll give loads of advice, and there is a forum full of max-watt / max-pc chaps that will be really helpful, they have a section dedicated to building silent PC's.
