anyone know of a website that has its own favorites icon, i need to have a look at it.

so when you open a website & click add to favourites, it has its own icon rather than the default 'E' icon

isnt this for creating an icon for your own web server? rather than joe public clicking on some website then saving it to favourites...

Erm I'm not sure what you're after then..

The link describe exactly how to add one of these icons to your website so that when a visitor adds it to their favorites, your icon appears instead of the default one. Basically, you need to place the appropriate ico file in the root of your webspace, and include a link to it in the meta data at the top of the web page.
Isn't that what you were after?

im the visitor(well someone else is, im trying to sort them out) ive visited a site, added it to the favourites. The link is there with their own icon. Something happens dont know what, but the icon is replaced with the default IE "e". How do you get the websites favicon back?
Think it may be removed by deleting the temp internet files??? so probably the only way to get them back is to revisit the site & re-add to favourites. No automatic way? only the muppet has several hundred links & theyve all turned to "e" & he wants the different icons

Ah I see what you were getting at now. I think the only way is to re-add the items to your favorites...
