Default www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk DNS issues

Peeps,

We're having an issue here in that our DNS servers for our leased line (ns0.bt.net and ns1.bt.net) can't seem to resolve the address for the IR website, but the ones on our ADSL line can.

We can't work out what would cause this but could do with a hand getting it resolved.

Firstly could I ask you to please try to get to the IR website at the above address and if you can't get there then can you let me know what DNS servers you're using. I'm also interested to hear from anyone using the above servers who can get the the website.

TIA

Simon.

Looks like they're missing a resource record for the host www. It's possible if ou're using seperate nameservers that the record is cached on one but not the other, you can tell if an entry is cached because the results from a lookup will be 'non-authorative'.

steven@diablo:~(0) % host -t soa inlandrevenue.gov.uk
inlandrevenue.gov.uk start of authority ns0.uk.cw.net hostmaster.uk.cw.net(
2004071377 ;serial (version)
3600 ;refresh period
600 ;retry refresh this often
2419200 ;expiration period
600 ;minimum TTL
)
steven@diablo:~(1) % host www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk ns0.uk.cw.net
Using domain server:
Name: ns0.uk.cw.net
Address: 194.177.160.6
Aliases:

Host not found.
