Got to disagree. I love it. Finally a decent rally sim!
Can't wait for the PC release in September!

I`ve just bought it, what a mistake. Its poor to say the least.

I can see where its coming from, the car control. But as for the rest of it I was dissapointed.

Back to WRC3 it is then.

For sale : Richard Burns Rally, Sensible offers...

I must say it seems that it was all hype, apart from some of the close ups and the sound of things hitting the car it has nothing to offer

as for the 3 thousand handling adjustments (which you can hardly read) - anyone want to let me know if any of them stop the car from fishtailing like a toy and actually go around corners

McCrunch 4 is a pleasure by comparison

I hear that X-Box 2 could be coming out within 12 mths - now, McCrunch written for that spec has to be interesting on a nice hi-res plasma or projector!!

Thumbs down

I agree, bought this on Saturday and am also finding it unplayable. I am gonna take it back to Game to get my money back or exchange it for Rallisport Challenge 2.

If you stick at it I find it does get better.

Still dont like it much though, certainly not enough to keep it.
Just like Chrisowe, its going back.

Mmm.. played it for a few hours this morning - it does get better. You have to take it real easy, feather the throttle and brakes rather than just trying to blast down the stage.
Still hard work though but quite rewarding when you get it right. Might be even better with a steering wheel & pedals cause the controller`s a bit of a struggle.

Neil.

I would agree that it is incredibly realistic!
However, I think it is so realistic it is impossibly hard and difficult to get to grips with. If you persevere, you can get a much better feel for the game and it feels fantastic when you get a good sequence of corners strung together!

Top stuff, but perhaps a little too hardcore for most people I would say.

DISAPOINTED!!!!

Clearly a good sim but not that playable without massive concentration - too hard work, or maybe i am just inept - but i doubt it, played all the others and loved em.

Good but too good me thinks....

Fantastic!

I love it when a developer says the hell with arcadeness and goes full out sim - just like Grand Prix Legends and NASCAR 2003. Excellent stuff, a pleasure to drive.

Thumbs up from me as well, just need to perfect my Scandinavian flicks and hand brake turns

Oh and somehow managed to set the thing on fire, dunno if it had anything to do with hitting the armco at mach 10

Should be called Richard Burns Off Road Challenge, I just cant keep the car facing the right way for more than a minute.
Starting to enjoy it more now but its a right bugger to control.

Its a very realistic game, apart from hitting a wafer thin tree and totalling your car.

<Co-Driver> "OH NOOO!"

Thats when i tend to start swearing at the telly

i agree - it is past hyper realistic - it is set so sensitive so that we all think that to drive the real thing you need McCrunch and Scumacher sharing the controls!? - The real thing on tarmac does not feel like you are on ice - sorry dont buy it - + I wish I hadnt!!
