Default Video Capture from sky digital box

Looking to record the odd program from my sky digital box directly onto my PC to either view on there or burn to DVD to keep but not entirely sure what to look for in a capture card.

Can anyone advise if this would be suitable:

cheers

Look for PAL compatibility. Most Sky boxes are Composite or RGB, so make sure you have at least one of these inputs on the card. A small number of Sky boxes can do S-Video (mainly Grundig IIRC).

This card appears to be UK (PAL) format and has both Composite and S-Video inputs, so would seem to be suitable.

Looks like a standard TV tuner card so "Real Time MPEG Recording" is going to be fully in software. Its notably doesnt make any reference to the resolution it can do "30 frames per sec". To record and encode to Mpeg at a decent bit rate at 30fps at a worthwhile resolution takes CPU horsepower.

I cant immediately see what that card gives you more than a non-brand TV Tuner from EBuyer for less or a WinTV Go for similair money.
