Excel - how to set up a pie-of-pie chart?
Got a spreadsheet with a total that divides into A%, B%, C%, D% (total - 100%).
C% divides into X%, Y%, Z%.
I've seen that Excel can show this in pie-of-pie, where one slice of the pie breaks down into a separate pie chart next to the main one. But how do you set up the two data series (A-D, X-Z) in the worksheet, so it can interpret them correctly in the chart form? I've tried, and it can't work out which bits are part of the main pie, and which are part of the slice.
Can anyone guide me, eg by telling how the cells should be laid out on the worksheet (eg I tried Main Pie = A1 - A4, and the breakdown part of A3 was then written laterally B3 - D3; nope!)?
Many thanks!
Brendan
