XP PRo - Strange Start Menu behaviour
Think I must have clicked something in error, but boogered if I can think what.
For example When I click Start > Run, instead of getting the run box opening, I get a message saying I cannot create a shortcut here..... clicking OK puts a shortcut on the desktop. Launching this new shortcut opens the run dialogue box. Same happens for most of the icons on the right of the start menu
How do I get back to the way it should be?

Had already rebooted in n times before asking the question. Guessit must have been the big hammer on Alt Gr that foxed it
