ok i had a ipaq with tomtom2 quite a few months ago and as i allways do i backed up the software and jotted the access codes if i remember rightly

shortly after the lot was stolen

i plan to uy another ipaq and a gps reciever shortly and use my software

but ive been told prob wont be able to use it as v hard to register etc etc and the tomtom2 and the ipaq will have a diff registration for every machie


so what can i do or do i have to spend another 100 quid on the software?

not sure which ipaq i will buy prob have 250 to spend

plpus ill need to buy the cradle, flash card and jacket etc etc

when you install the software you register and it ties the hardware code of the pda to your licence key, if you install it onto another pda, tomTom have a form you fill in online and the change the hardware key your licenced is assigned too.

you have a problem in getting your licence key back, if you have the receipt you have a chance of getting another but tom tom support isnt the best.

I would crack it, there are lots available and very easy to do. Afterall yu have a right to use the software as long as you have some way of proving it you are ok

Hi,

You can register twice with Tomtom within a six month period anymore than twice though you're stuffed, if anyone knows where there are any cracks for TT3 I would be most interested, I have a legit copy but it has been registered twice on PDA's that I don't have access to now!

another question, could i use my laptop with tomtom2 for navigation in the car?

I have had to register my copy of tom tom when i changed my Ipaq, all they want you to do is to send them a copy of the invoice for the new ipaq and they send you the new code, the dealt with mine very quickly so might have just been lucky.
