Smile Making DVD's from Home Vids

I have a Sony IP7 mini camcorder and have been trying to make DVD's using the Sony software Movieshaker. However I cannot find the right format when saving the files.

I have looked at the DVD player which is Accoustic Solutions and it plays Mpeg II but Movieshaker only does Mpeg I which doesn't register the format on the DVD.

Can anyone suggest some decent software or tell this muppet what he's doing wrong.

Have only just started doing this cos I cant afford to buy more tapes.

Cheers

Rupert

This looks like it could work. Can you choose the format that you are transfering.

When you capture your video from your camcorder it will probably be in AVI format (unless your camcorder converts it into mpeg). Mpeg 1 is VCD/SVSD format. DVD is Mpeg 2. All in one packages (like Ulead mentioned) for capturing, editing, encoding, burning your camcorder video should allow you to chose what type of video you want to make (VCD/SVCD/DVD).
