Anyone know how/where to enter cheat codes? Or indeed do you have any of these codes? I've found a site or two with a number of alphanumeric codes but doesn't tell you how/where to enter them for the ps2 btw.

Basically got to a point where I can't really progress (and I'm not that great and don't want to spend 10 hours and still not progress.). So far got all licences apart from the special one (which I can't do, not matter how many tries).

Got 1/2 million credits too but no idea how best to spend my wonga. Got a camaro race car which is doing ok, really want a F1 car but no joy.

There are cheat codes for GT3. I would never have got to race a Scooby if there weren't - a combination of little talent and no patience for building up through the lower cars.

I had a CD with the cheat codes - which I had to load every time I wanted to play GT3. Can't remember where I got it though.

No, it enabled me to have any car I wanted. Probably had other stuff on it as well.

Good job I got it as well! I was useless in the MX5 and would never have progressed. I seemed to do rather better in the Scoob - even my gf commented on the fact: "Oooh, you don't crash as much in the Scoob!" LOL

I know exactly what Jerome is on about, it's Action Replay again. Some PS mag, ages ago, was giving away a free demo copy of Action Replay on the cover CD.

AR comes in two parts a CD, which is a boot cd, and also contains thousands of codes, plus a device which plugs into a mem card or controller slot. It's this item that allows you to add/delete/modify existing codes (think it copies contents of CD to device or something).

Thus I am guessing all Jerome did was boot the cd, select the code, and bam! cheat-a-mungo!

Seem to recall the CD also had their DVD Region X software on it, so you could region free your PS2.

I love AR type devices. i remember having a Romantic Robot Multiface 3 on my Speccy 128k, lovely it was. Then when I went the Amiga route I got a AR for my A500, loved that too, extracting sound files, hacking games, lovely.
Got the AR for my PS, and when I got the PS2 I got the AR for it as well, mainly got it on PS2 for the DVD Region X stuff, but came in handy for GT3

Patience my friend, patience - you can't wait to get a scooby? shocking - doesn't take much, think it was about the 3rd car I bought.

Don't really understand the enjoyment of getting a game then cheating to have it completed in 5 minutes flat - that usually only happens when mummy buys it.

Just play the game and enjoy it mate - you get a good sense of acheivement by progressing. I've got about 8 F1 cars - you can get one on the super speedway endurance race (did it in a RUF CTR2 in about 50 mins)

nice in theory but i've never seen it work - car's tyres get so bad that car goes into a spin and ends trying to go around the track backwards!

Won't work in gt4 either - there's 10 second penalties for hitting walls / opponents.
