Default Scoobynet problems - any ideas?

This is a weird one. I can read Scoobynet on my PC (which is WinXP connected via 10/100 TCP network to a D-Link DSL-504 ADSL modem/router)

Then, at random period, I get a time-out error on the scoobynet forums.

All other web browsing is fine, and the only way to be able to access SN again is to reboot the router. The SN website is ok, its the forums that's the problem.

Any ideas?

AFAIK, the SN website and forums have different IP addresses, so are probably hosted on seperate boxes.

www.scoobynet.co.uk = 217.79.111.23
bbs.scoobynet.co.uk = 217.79.127.30

If you get the problem again, see if you can ping both addresses happily and also use the tracert command to check if there's any slow responses along the way.

e.g. At a command prompt type

ping bbs.scoobynet.co.uk or
tracert bbs.scoobynet.co.uk

Strange that all other sites are fine and a reboot of the router clears it. You'd need to see if there's any logs on the router to check if it's rejecting anything or just simply not getting a response back from the SN bbs server.

I occasionally get timeouts, but I put this down to the actual SN server and loads on it at the time.
