Transferring Outlook records
Is there an easy way to transfer outlook data between PCs?
At the moment my laptop has my outlook data - emails, diary, contacts etc.
I would like to back it all up and stick it on the outlook on my desktop.
If that isn't easy, then I at least need to back up my emails in a format that they can be accessed without too much hassle. Can I back them up to a CD?
Any advice gratefully received!

Just swapped computers and had the same issue. Basically I found all my files in
C:\Documents and Settings\Dave\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and
C:\Documents and Settings\Dave\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Just replace 'Dave' with whatever your username is ...
I'm fairly certain that all I copied were the pst files. I could forget the rest. I'll not swear on my unborn babies life though 'cos I didn't make notes and just preferred to rely on my unreliable memory ....

Dave
export email to a .pst
burn to cd for archive
however when copying back to new pc, remeber to remove 'read only' attributes from its property
then just import mail and point to this .pst file on the new box.
