I'm after a little advice guys.

I currently run just the one PC at work (own business), an ailing 266Mhz P2 running Windows 98 OS. Packages run on it are for Sage accounts, Sage Payroll, MS Word, Works, Publisher etc. etc. plus it's used as my internet station. Having had it a number of years, it is now f'kin slow and the monitor has gone on the blink (pinkinsh hue on screen).

The time is right to ditch it and by a whistles & bells laptop to take over the job. This will free up office desk space and improve security as I can take it home with me each day. The question is, which one??? I would like to have a CD writer, DVD player as well as it being a quick, reliable & upgradeable machine.

Any advice on what to go for?
