Visiting my brother this weekend and his router seems to have packed up. It still works ok with regards to internet access and sharing the connection around the house but the router set up page (normal 192.168.0.1) is refusing to work and simply displays a page not found in IE.

I can ping the address fine and have port scanned the address to which it shows ports to be there but filtered which I would expect.

Just for some reason it wont let me or any of the computers near the set up page - have tried rebooting and resetting the router but nothing

Any ideas ?

its not 192.168.1.1 by any chance ?

 

Nope tried that before most of the hair pulling out business 192.168.0.1 is the only one there and its definately there just refuses to play

Needed to hold down the hard reset button on the router for 10 seconds which set it back to factory settings
