Divx - How do you convert your films??
I'm just about to attempt and get into Divx conversion!! ( a bit optomictic???)
I've noticed discussions, about you need to do this first, then you need to convert it to that................
I've just got a piece of software from BVRP (i think it's called) that supposedly does the conversion al as one process....
I would be interested in hearing how everyone converts theirs and with what software???
I've had 1 success and 1 failed attempt....
1st sucess was converted to 1.4gb from 4.4gb
Failed attempt was from 4.4gb to 5gb................ I don't know what the hell happened there.... tried it a few times and increased instead on decreased....
I'd just like to know the easiest way and if there are any pitfalls i should watch out for!!
Cheers all

Phil,
Look at a product call MainConcept, very easy to use, can covert to VCD, SCVD & DVD, it very easy to use and much faster than other encoders. I used TMPGENC, then switched to Mainconcept as it handles sound much better. If you want 5.1 audio, then it gets complicted. As said by Bioforger dvdrhelp.com is the best place for info on this subject, by a mile.

Goto www.doom9.org - follow their guides and get their downloads. highly recommended.
Using robot4rip and Gordian Knot transferring DVD to DIVX (for playing on xbox ) only takes a few clicks. works 99% of the time.
