Symantec/Norton Firewall alert!!!
See http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05...irewall_flaws/
Seems as though there are the odd vulnerabilities or four in the various Norton offerings. I just did YET-A-BLOODY-NOTHER massive download (2MB+) of patches to try to make my purchase "fit for purchase".
Watch out!

Use Sygate - good quality and free. Very few vulnerabilites. From a corporate point-of-view, we've approved Sygate for use as a personal firewall on laptops etc. To date, Norton hasn't been approved. Our R&D guys are very strict - they still refuse to recommend PIX and it isn't in our porfolio, despite us being a massive Cisco user and reseller!
