hi all,

Its an omnibook 6000
Its to do with the speakers,
It was fine at work last night, until i got home and the thing stopped playing any kinds of sounds through the speakers, yet if some earphones are in the jack plug on the side they work, the volume control on the side has stopped working too, so when you press vol down, nothing, but vol up, mutes it?
Ive re-installed drivers for the sound card, nowt.

Just wondering if anyone would know why?

looks like you might have a loose conn to the speakers wires might be loose can you open up and check?
