DELETE * when using asp and MSSQL

DELETE * when using asp and MSSQL
Ive finally worked out that DELETE * does not work in MSSQL from my asp pages. Does anyone know what the correct syntax is for deleting the whole record when you know the persons ID for example:
Record is:
Person ID : jim
age : 25
Address : henderson str
etc
When i do
objComm.CommandText = "DELETE FROM PersonDetails Where PID = '" & Pid & "' "
it does not work.
If i do
objComm.CommandText = "DELETE * FROM PersonDetails Where PID = '" & Pid & "' "
I get an error.
Any ideas?
