Question Shuttle AMD 64-bit & Windows Activation

Hi all,
I've just built a nice little Shuttle SN85G4 machine with AMD64-bit 3200+, 1Gb Crucial PC3200 DDR, 120Gb Maxtor SATA drive, Pioneer 107D & Radeon 9800Pro graphics. (Farcry plays wonderfully).
At the moment i have it networked through a broadband router with my old PC & X-box. I was going to install Windows XP64-bit edition beta, but never because i couldn't get 64bit SATA drivers to work and also ATI won't release 64bit Catalyst drivers until full version of XP64 is out.

So, at the moment i've installed my legit copy of XPhome on it but haven't yet activated it, as i've also got this version on my other PC.

The question is, what will happen when i try to activate it? Will MS not not let me, or will the other version stop working? (when i try to install updates from the net i assume).

I don't particuarly want to buy another XPhome, when i'll inevitably buy the 64-bit version when it comes out.

Regards

Daz

sorry if your copy is already activated on one machine it will not let you activate it on the other machine it wont cause any damage to the old one its just that after you time is up you have to either enter the code or you can never retrive your stuff off the computer again

You could always change to a corporate serial number on the shuttle illegal of course, but possible.

From memory you get three re-activations before you need to contact Microsoft to get it unlocked. A re-activation can be caused by changing major components in a PC so they have to allow some re-activations.

Of course this is illegal...you need to have 1 OS license per machine as they are not concurent usage licenses.
